Held annually in December, Mooneyes Japan transforms Pacifico Yokohama into an amazing playground of custom culture. The 33rd Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show, held this year on the 7th of December, will be no exception.
This epic event is celebrated as Japan’s largest indoor custom car and motorcycle show, and packs more style and energy than many multi-day events.
What Makes It Special?
The show, organised by Mooneyes Japan, blends classic hot rods, sport customs, legendary bikes, low-riders, mini-trucks, JDM icons and more. Everything you could ever dream of all under one roof! Japanese builders meet global creators, vintage designs meet modern flair, and the atmosphere buzzes with a strong sense of community and creative passion.
The 2025 show will feature “Forty Years of Hot Rodding in Japan”, an exhibit which will include Form Model T-era hot rods (1908 - 1934), curated in honour of Shun Kasai and Deuce Factory Japan’s 40th anniversary. While hot rods and custom cars are central to the identity of the event, the motorcycle presence is equally impressive. The Japanese custom bike scene is huge. You’ll see vintage Harley–Davidsons to stripped-down choppers, beautifully crafted cafe racers and one-off Japanese customs. These machines are two-wheeled works of art that are a great example of the attention to detail and craftsmanship that define custom culture and Japanese culture!
In 2025, you can expect to see Triumph’s and Harleys from the 1940’s and 50’s, plus a beautiful 1983 Harley Davidson XL1000.

Other highlights
Alongside the car and motorcycle show, there’ll be a vendor village and swap meet with hundreds of booths selling custom gear, memorabilia, collectible parts and Mooneyes-branded items. You’ll see a custom paint contest, mini-car and model car displays, and the retro tunes played by live bands add a vibrant vibe turning the hall into a cultural celebration.
